How to get a single speed denoptix working on Windows 10 32 bit.

I thought I would throw down some notes on how to get the single speed usb denoptix working on a newer version of Windows other then XP.

There are only 32 bit drivers for this model, and when you try to install the drivers for it in vista 32 bit or higher you get an error in device manager about the a problem with the service entry in the inf file. The Quadspeed Turbo or QST model has newer drivers, and is.. 4 times faster then the original single speed model.

First I would put Windows 10 32 bit, into test mode. From command prompt:
bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

and then reboot. While rebooting, go into the BIOS of the computer and disable secure boot. Now you don't have to deal with signed drivers as these drivers are kinda old..

Second, You must also install GX-Picture 3.5.3 as it seems to be the last version to support this Denoptix. Right click the 3.5.3.GxPicture.exe file and go to properties, set the compatibility level to XP SP3. Install with the option for Denoptix selected.

Third step: Look in the GXPicture installation folder and go to Drivers\DenOptix\alara\DenOptix.
Copy denopusb.sys to c:\windows\system32\drivers and then try installing the driver for the denoptix using the denopusb.inf in device manager.

After the driver is loaded, firmware is loaded and the pid of the Denoptix changes and then you should see it become a WinRT device in Device Manager. Will post a screenshot later just for blogging purposes. Until then, here is one of Windows 7. I never took one of Windows 10, although it is basically the same procedure.
